An Auchterarder golfer who tested his prowess against visitors to a show has won a long-driving contest for the second year running.
Using the latest technology, 23-year-old Martin Rogalski recorded a drive of 393 yards last year at the Scottish Golf Show, only to exceed his winning drive with a 404-yard effort this year.
His success at the show, which attracts thousands to see the latest equipment, won him rounds for four at top Scottish courses.
Now the 6ft 4in five-handicapper, who plays at Auchterarder Golf Course, is looking further afield to see if his ability can net him more prizes.
Martin, a night porter at Duchally Country Estate, is going to travel to events within 50 to 100 miles of his home where similar skills are measured.
His research has shown that the longest drives measured are only 15 to 20 yards more than his efforts and have been achieved with specialist equipment.
“There is definitely room for improvement,” he said.
