McLeary was nine holes into his second round of the European Tour event (and 13 over par for the tournament) when he decided he couldn’t continue. It was something of a surprise that he was even able to tee it up for round two. He said on Twitter: “Severe leg pain, haven’t eaten in 3 days, couldn’t get out of bed on Wednesday. Can’t wait to get home and see doctor.” Fellow Scots Craig Lee (four under) and Scott Jamieson (two under) both made the cut. Marc Warren and Andrew McArthur didn’t however. Terry Pilkdaris was the clubhosue leader on 13 under par.
