Fife Flyers’ Kyle Horne is set to miss the trip to Belfast Giants.
The former Great Britain defenceman has an undisclosed injury and his experience will be missed.
Belfast have surged up the table to second spot on 46 points, five behind Belfast Giants.
Associate player-coach Danny Stewart said: “We’ve been playing some good road hockey recently. Hull last Sunday was an example when we won 3-2.
“We’ll need a performance like that if we are to have some success at Belfast which is a good place to play.”
Meanwhile, Dundee Stars’ Bari McKenzie sees tomorrow’s basement battle at Coventry Blaze as massive for the club’s play-off aspirations.
The forward also believes that last week’s penalty shot success over Sheffield Steelers showed the club’s real potential.
Coventry, however, sent Elite League pace-setters Braehead Clan spinning out of the Challenge Cup in midweek.
Coventry have won both meetings against Stars so far this season, a 4-0 victory in the Midlands and a 2-1 success on Tayside.
McKenzie said: “This is a four-point game and we’re up for it. Sunday has boosted morale in the camp.
“Blaze play in Sheffield on Saturday and that could be a tough one for them.”
“We’ve struggled with adversity so far this season but the guys worked really hard last Sunday and were rewarded. We’ll have to do the same again but we’re optimistic and go there to win.
“Our goal is the make the play-offs but we have to hit a run of form first.”
