Perth motorbike racer Rory Skinner celebrated his 13th birthday in style by securing the Dunlop Aprilia British Superteen Challenge Championship at Donington Park.
The youngster travelled to Leicestershire with a 134-point lead over second-placed Georgina Polden, and secured the title with a round in hand by winning both of his races on Saturday.
He then put the icing on the cake with another win and new lap record on Sunday.
Rory, who is backed by insurance compay Bennetts, left Donington with an unassailable lead going into next month’s final round.
He said: “It’s been an amazing experience and it feels really good to win the championship.
“To take the title with three wins and a new lap record is an amazing result and I want to thank everyone who has helped me this season.”
Having reached the age of 13, Rory is now eligible to compete in the British Motostar Championship on a full Moto3 machine and could make his debut as early as this month.
