Dundee Tigers aim to put two disappointing results behind them when they entertain Aberdeen Lynx.
The Granite City side whipped Tigers 8-1 in the North East on Saturday and Tigers lost 7-2 to Edinburgh Capitals, last season’s Grand Slam winners, on Sunday in the Dundee Ice Arena.
The Tayside team are determined to make amends against both sides and have an early opportunity against Aberdeen.
Ian Carstairs, Tigers’ player/coach, argued: “We faced the Lynx last Saturday in a dead rubber Autumn Cup match.
“They won by a convincing margin but there’s a different compexion to the game this week as it is in the Scottish National League.”
He added: “Lynx have a big squad and there are some skilled players in there that we need to neutralise.
“We’ve been making plenty of chances but have to be more clinical in front of net. It is going to be a physical battle and we’re prepared to do whatever it takes to gain the two points.”
