Danny Stewart has warned his squad to beware of the offensive threat posed by Braehead Clan.
And Fife Flyers’ influential associate coach also warned his men to forget their recent 4-0 shutout win over the Glasgow side at Kirkcaldy.
The pair clash at Braehead on Friday with Elite League and Challenge Cup, Group A, points at stake.
And a big crowd is expected to welcome Clan home after five long weeks on the road as the arena was being used for other events.
Stewart picked out Scott Pitt. He claimed a treble in their 7-4 road win at Dundee last Saturday to take his tally to 13 from five goals and eight assists in nine games.
Neil Trimm is close behind Pitt with four goals and seven assists in the same number of starts.
Defenceman Scott Aarssen is also one to beware and he has nine points in nine games from a goal and eight assists, three of them coming in the win at Stars.
And Derek Roehl popped in a double as Clan were edged 3-2 at Coventry Blaze on Sunday.
Stewart said: “Braehead have a number of dangerous skaters. Scott (Pitt) scored a treble last weekend and Derek (Roehl) scored two at Coventry.
“Other guys like Neill (Trimm) can hurt you and they have a strong team there.
“They have good speed and play physical and they’ll have a big, noisy crowd there on Friday after being away from Braehead so long.
“We’ll prepare well but this will be a real test and we’re backing up that game with a visit to Nottingham Panthers in the Elite League on Saturday and we have Nottingham here at Kirkcaldy on Sunday also in the league that’s a tough weekend, our toughest of the season so far.”
Dundee Stars travel to Belfast Giants for an Elite League and Challenge Cup, Group A, clash and face in-form forward Mike Kompon (cor) who was named the Elite League Player of the Week.
This follows his outstanding back-to-back displays against the Cardiff Devils at the Odyssey Arena last Friday and Saturday.
To date, Kompon has posted four goals and five assists for nine points in 11 games played, including two game-winning goals at home to the Cardiff in Friday’s 3-2 victory and Saturday’s 5-2 success.
Stars are seeking revenge as Giants took the first win 4-1 on the opening night of the season on September 5 in the Elite League and Challenge Cup, Group A, when debutant Ray Sawada opened his goal scoring account for Belfast.
Jeff Hutchins, Dundee’s player/coach, said: “It’s a tough one but we’ve prepared well and hope to have turned a corner after last Sunday’s road win at Hull.”
