Fife Flyers looking to finally get one over Coventry Blaze
ByThe Courier Reporter
Fife Flyers believe they are due a result against Coventry Blaze when the high-flying Midlands club arrive at Kirkcaldy tomorrow night.
The sides have met twice so far this season with the English side winning them both.
And Todd Dutiaume, Fife’s head coach, said: “We feel we owe them one.”
Experienced Dutiaume gave his squad the day off on Monday after Sunday’s narrow defeat at Rosslyn Street to Nottingham Panthers.
He said: “There were some tired legs out there on Sunday and the team made mental and physical mistakes but I couldn’t fault the boys.”
Dutiaume believes the club’s league position of eighth out of 10 is a false one.
He noted: “We are a good hockey club and we are playing some good hockey right now. We will come good, there are no worries there. My job is to keep these guys focused.”
