Eilish McColgan (Dundee Hawkhill) lines up at the XL Galan Indoor Meeting in Stockholm facing a world class line-up over 3,000m.
McColgan made an impressive debut over 3,000m at the Birmingham Grand Prix last Saturday having only ever before contested the 1500m indoors.
McColgan’s time of eight minutes 53.1 seconds was a personal best as she bettered her outdoor mark of 8:58.83.
Ethiopian Genzebe Dibaba, winner of the Great Edinburgh Cross-Country, will start as the race favourite while European Cross-Country champion Fionnuala Britton (Ireland) makes a rare appearance indoors.
After missing selection for the European Indoor Championships Guy Learmonth (Lasswade) has been granted a run in Stockholm by way of some consolation.
