Isle of Man TT dream comes true for Arbroath racer Andy Lawson

Angus motorcyclist Andy Lawson is on the brink of the biggest week of his burgeoning racing career.

The Arbroath-based 2014 Junior Manx Grand Prix winner is back on the Isle of Man to bid for glory in the world’s most famous road racing festival, the TT.

Multi-national champion Lawson will pilot four machines over six events at the legendary high speed festival, where riders have hit more than 200 miles an hour on the 37.73 mile Snaefell mountain course.

The Team Moto-Design.co.uk Racing man has already gone well in practice on the Shirlaw Racing liveried Kawasakis he is competing in across the range of classes, with top 10 times and lap averages of more than 110mph under his racing boots from a truncated opening weekend session.

This week’s 2015 IoM challenge will see Andy, 25, compete in the lightweight, supersport, superbike and superstock classes, as well as the blue riband senior TT race.
