Dundee CCS Stars have confirmed that ex-Fife Flyers and Braehead Clan winger Bobby Chaumont has agreed terms as player/assistant coach for the 2015/16 season.
Head coach Marc Lefebvre said: “I am very pleased to welcome Bobby Chaumont to the Dundee Stars as my player/assistant coach this season.
“Firstly, we needed to add goals to our line-up and Bobby has had success in our conference and league doing that the past three seasons, averaging 30 goals over that period.
“Secondly, Bobby is also a good leader and after speaking to him several times about the direction and goals for our hockey club, it became clear that we want to strive for the same things so it was a perfect fit to have him as my assistant this season. I look forward to having him working along side me to have a successful season in Dundee.”
Chaumont’s record in the Elite League currently stands at 262 points from 228 regular season games, and seven from 10 play-off games.
He said: “I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to a great season.”
