Eve Muirhead responds to setback at Scottish Curling Championships

Olympic bronze medallist Eve Muirhead bounced back from a morning defeat at the hands of Hazel Smith to beat Hannah Fleming and keep her challenge alive at the top of the table at the Scottish Curling Championships in Perth.
Muirhead, beaten 5-3 by Smith, responded with a 7-4 win over Fleming to share the same won five, lost two record as current Scottish junior champion Gina Aitken.
She had one win and one loss Wednesday, against Lauren Gray.
In the men’s event, Olympic silver medallist David Murdoch beat Cameron Bryce by 4-2 to share the lead with Kyle Smith and David Edwards.
Smith beat Edwards by 7-4 in Wednesday’s play.
Murdoch, Smith and Edwards now share top place with four wins and one loss.
