Gordon Shedden finds form in the British Touring Car Championship
ByThe Courier Reporter
Gordon Shedden bounced back from his opening round failure at Brands Hatch in the British Touring Car Championship with three podium finishes at Donington Park.
Shedden picked up just 17 points in the opening races of the season as he seeks to defend his crown but finished first, third and second in his Honda Yuasa Racing car in the three races at the Leicestershire course.
The Scot converted his pole from Saturday into victory in the opening race of the day, one in which he never surrendered the lead to finish 0.426 seconds ahead of Andrew Jordan, with Matt Neal and Jason Plato in third and fourth respectively.
He settled for a third place finish in the second race as Jordan claimed his first win of the season at his home circuit. In the third race, Shedden was nearly fives seconds off behind ex-BTCC champion Colin Turkington.
