Fife Flyers’ Danny Stewart rounded off a week to remember as his side recorded two victories.
The associate player/coach celebrated the birth of his baby daughter before becoming the import with the most appearances in the Elite League.
His 563rd outing in the league came at Manchester Storm on Saturday when the Flyers snapped a six-game losing run to beat the league’s new boys 4-3, with Stewart opening the scoring.
Ryan Dingle added to the score before Patrik Valcak pulled one back for the home side. Then Kyle Haines and Shayne Stockton scored one apiece to give Flyers a three-goal lead.
Storm fought back though, with David Phillips and Matt Davies bringing the score to within one, but Fife held out for a priceless victory.
Flyers returned home to face Braehead Clan last night and two late goals clinched a 2-0 win.

Dingle opened the scoring with eight minutes to go before Shayne Stockton fired in an empty net goal to seal the bragging rights for the Kirkcaldy side, who made it a four-point weekend.
Dundee Stars suffered a double blow over the weekend with Saturday’s 7-1 thrashing at Nottingham followed by an overtime loss to Belfast last night.
Joint leaders Giants had Mike Forney to thank as he netted a treble in the 5-4 overtime win.
Forney opened the scoring but the hosts led 2-1 with strikes from Curtis Leinweber and Riley Wetmore.
Justin Faryna and Lou Dickenson extended the Dundee lead to 4-1 but James Desmarais pulled one back for the visitors.
Derrick Walser and Forney scored in the third period to force an extra period.
Forney’s decisive strike in the first session of overtime wrapped up a four point weekend for the Giants, who beat Sheffield Steelers 4-1 on Saturday.
Dundee Tigers will meet city rivals Dundee Comets in the next round of the Scottish Cup after a narrow 6-5 victory over Solway Sharks in a first round tie at Dundee Ice Arena.
Daniel Topping scored a double for the home side and Robert Chalmers scored twice for the opposition.
Ian Carstairs, one of Tigers’ senior players, said: “It was a real battling victory but the 5-3 second period turned the game for us.”
