Dundee Stars signing

Dundee Stars have signed Canadian forward Scott Brannon who will make his home debut on Saturday against bottom club Edinburgh Capitals.

Scott joins Stars from East Coast Hockey League side Rapid City Rush.

Marc Lefebvre, Stars’ head coach, said: “Scott is the type of player that will help us with our play-off push.

“He brings a lot of grit to our line-up and he is the type of player that helps teams win championships.

“It has been a tough market this year for players and initially we were looking for a direct replacement for defenceman David Turon.

“The quality of player we were looking for within our budget was not there so we turned our attention to finding a quality forward.”
