Dundee Tigers player-coach Ian Carstairs has praised his squad after a gutsy 6-3 Scottish National League win at North Ayr Wild.
The success was achieved without key defencemen Stuart Barrett and Craig Wilson.
Carstairs was pleased his squad bounced back from the 6-0 Autumn Cup semi-final drubbing by Edinburgh Capitals at the weekend.
He said: “This was important for us. We had a short bench against Capitals with only 11 guys and two goaltenders, but the boys put in a good effort at Ayr.
“It was 3-3 at one stage but we grabbed three quick goals and held out. We needed that result after the cup defeat.”
