AJ MacLean urged his Dundee CCS Stars team-mates to take their key from bottom club Edinburgh Capitals when they visit The House of Steel tonight.
Capitals stunned Steelers’ fans with a narrow victory in Yorkshire last Saturday and MacLean’s men have already taken points from Steelers in Dundee and at Sheffield.
Both games have gone to overtime with Steelers winning 4-3 in Scotland and 5-4 in their home town.
MacLean believes Dundee can take points again but only if the squad lifts their game and concentrates for a full 60 minutes.
Defenceman Doug Krantz is the only reported absentee from Dundee’s line-up.
Club skipper MacLean said: “It will take a big effort from the guys and we will have to be on our game for 60 minutes but Edinburgh proved that wins are possible at Sheffield and we would love to do the same.”
Fife Flyers aim to build on last weekend’s 4-1 win over Belfast Giants when they travel to Coventry’s Skydome tonight (7pm).
Assistant coach Danny Stewart said: “We’ve raised the standard after last weekend’s performance.
“If we go out and perform like we did against Belfast we will win more games than we lose this season.”
