Club rugby relegation battle in full swing as Perthshire need a point to be safe
ByNews reporter
The relegation battle in premier three will go to the very end of this elongated season, but there is an opportunity for at least one of the Midlands clubs in danger to wriggle to safety.
Perthshire need only a point from their visit to Dalziel, or for Musselburgh to fail to get a full five from their meeting with Howe of Fife, to secure safety, with both teams playing their 22nd and final game of the schedule.
Morgan, however, still have four to play to get themselves above the East Lothian side.
Every one of them is at home, starting with Dumfries this week, and it is hard to imagine them not getting the points they need to survive in those games.
The other issue to be decided in the leagues is the Caledonia League One championship, and that will be left for next week with neither Strathmore or Hillfoots in action this weekend.Premier three Dalziel v Perthshire, Musselburgh v Howe of Fife, Whitecraigs v Dunfermline, Hamilton v Ardrossan Accies, Morgan v Dumfries.Caledonia one Mackie Academy FP v Stirling University, Grangemouth v St Andrews University, Glenrothes v Harris Academy FP.
