Madras Rugby had a tough day out as they travelled to meet Stirling University in a BT Caledonia Division Two (Midlands) match that was rescheduled from September.
The St Andrews men had posted substantial wins on each of the two previous weekends, moving into fifth spot in the league table just ahead of the students, who were seeking to halt a three-game losing run.
The Madras winning sequence came to an abrupt halt as the home side eased to a 52-0 success.
The next assignment for the students is a trip to face Harris Academy FP at Elliot Road on Saturday.
That match is a rescheduling of the September 13 fixture which was abandoned after University centre Connor Hughes suffered serious injury that left him quadriplegic.
In Division Three Midlands (West), Perthshire seconds missed out on the opportunity to go second in the table when they went down 41-17 to their Grangemouth Stags counterparts.
That first win of the season for Stags has moved them off the bottom at the expense of Hillfoots.
