Edinburgh v Perpignan: Nel braced for ‘massive challenge’ in Heineken Cup tie

Power prop Willem Nel insisted a ticket to the Heineken Cup quarter-finals will be the last thing on his mind when Edinburgh go into battle with Perpignan on Saturday.

The sides clash at Murrayfield with Nel and Co needing to win to keep alive their quest to reach the knockout stages.

Nel said: “We haven’t even spoken in the changing room about how we can qualify because there are so many combinations.

“The bottom line is that we have to beat Perpignan this weekend and then complete the double over Munster in Limerick

“Two wins will mean a huge amount to us, whether it results in qualification or not. But Perpignan will be a massive challenge.”
