Alloa turned on the style to lift the BT Bowl at a canter, chalking up 11 tries as they saw off Cumnock 71-19 at BT Murrayfield.
The young Alloa squad offered a glimpse of the potential available to director of rugby Henry Edwards, who was delighted by the club’s progress this season.
The final also featured an appearance for 47-year-old club stalwart Rolf Maitland, who came off the bench in the second half.
Backed by a vociferous support of more than 500 Cumnock had brought a similar number the Earlsfield men dominated proceedings in the first half.
They reached the interval with a 52-0 lead thanks to a double from Kris Aitken and one try apiece by Daniel Murrell, Matthew Pope, Rab Truesdale, Steve Skelton, Alan Keir and Lee Cairney, who landed six conversions.
Cumnock scored a converted try early in the second half but Alloa regained the initiative and Pope bagged two more tries before Martin McKenzie took the touchdown tally to 11, with Cairney slotting two more conversions.
Two late tries offered some consolation for the beaten finalists.
Alloa skipper Gary Taylor said: “We had a game plan. We stuck to that game plan and controlled it well, especially in the first half.”
He admitted that it was difficult to maintain that momentum.
“What you have done in the first half you are trying to repeat in the second half. It’s hard on that pitch. You are tiring, you make a lot of changes as well. But every man stood up and we got there in the end.”
Meanwhile, Morgan Academy’s women lost 54-5 to Watsonians in the Bowl competition.
A try by stand-off Alana Davidson kept Morgan in the game as they reached the interval 10-5 in arrears.
However, Watsonians stepped up the pace.
On league duty, the top two sides in BT Caledonia Division One posted wins.
Champions Orkney completed their campaign with a 15-12 success at Strathmore, and runners-up Highland saw off Hillfoots 36-5.
The Division Two (Midlands) season ended on a disappointing note when the destination of the silverware was decided by a committee rather than on the pitch.

There were celebrations for Stobswell, who clinched the Division Four (Midlands) title when they wrapped up their league programme with a 32-13 win at home to Glenrothes seconds.
