Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend welcomes back seven Scotland internationals to the line-up for the trip to Swansea to meet the Ospreys, where a win last year set up their outstanding play-off season.
Tommy Seymour, Sean Lamont, Ruiradh Jackson, Chris Cusiter, Ryan Grant, Pat MacArthur and Jonny Gray return to duty with Mark Bennett, Tyrone Holmes and Josh Strauss also starting in changes from the team that went down so disappointingly to the Dragons last week and saw them drop to fourth in the PRO12.
This is a three-match run that could define the Warriors’ whole season, as after the Ospreys there is the Heineken Cup doubleheader with Cardiff, both ends of which have to be won if the Warriors hope to reach the last eight in the competition.
They travel with 11 players on the injured list and Townsend’s options are further reduced this week with the three Fijians required for international duty.
The belated return for Ryan Wilson on the bench is especially welcome, the dynamic No 8 one of Glasgow’s most consistent performers in the fine run last season until a shoulder injury led to several months on the sidelines.
