If there is any chance of Dundee High Rugby staying in the hunt for promotion, they must improve on last week’s performance and take full points from their BT National 1 clash with Musselburgh on Saturday.
In the third round of the BT Cup at Troon last week, Marr progressed to the quarter final with a 37-14 win over Dundee High, making them favourites to grab the play-off spot.
Dundee have 54 points from 16 starts and have to face Marr in the league run-in, so a repeat of their 30-23 win at Stoneyhill is the least they can hope for.
The trip to bottom-placed Peebles should take Howe of Fife to a won eight, lost seven record, but having lost momentum from the start of the season, and having been at the wrong end of too many narrow defeats, the best they can hope for is a mid-table finish.
They won the previous encounter at Duffus Park 28-0, but Peebles can still haul themselves from the drop zone.
Having come close to pulling off one of the shocks of the season when they went down by 8-7 to a late penalty against Hamilton, Kirkcaldy will be confident of taking the points when Lasswade come to Beveridge Park, with the prospect of relegation still looming over Hawthornden.
Lasswade won the earlier joust 22-18, and that is what they will be looking for again to ease the pressure from the drop zone.
In BT National 3, Perthshire are sixth in the table and RHC eighth, although 14 points separate them.
A repeat of the win Perthshire collected, with a 17-15 scoreline, would enhance their already comfortable mid-table slot.
