Dundee High School will be back in the final of the Scottish Schools under-18 Cup for the first time since season 2004-2005.
They secured their place in the Murrayfield showpiece match with a 27-12 win over George Heriot’s School in the first of the semi-finals on Saturday.
High produced an all-round performance in which they controlled the set-piece and the contact area allowing them to run in four tries by wing Ronan Joy, prop Adam Powrie, full-back Jamie Clarkson and stand-off Marshall Macleod.
Scotland under-18 squad centre Duncan Leese converted two of his side’s tries in addition to kicking a penalty goal.
“It was a tight game with a lot of close quarter stuff but we had the majority of possession” said Dundee coach Ewan Jack.
