Last week Howe of Fife centre Girvin Imrie ran in a hat-trick of tries in the RBS Championship B match against Lasswade.
This week he had the statisticians scrabbling in the record books to find out the last time, if ever, someone had doubled that and scored six tries to make it a total of nine touchdowns in two games.
On the receiving end this week were Aberdeenshire who, having won their opening match of the league, are now being confronted by the harsh realities of Championship B.
Supporting roles in the Howe demolition job came from flanker Rory Drummond with a mere hat-trick and one try each for James Lawrie, Chris Mason, Fraser Clark and Chris Martin. Dom Martin landed a remark-able 12 from 13 conversions and a penalty to complete a final scoreline of 92-0 which keeps Howe in second spot.
It is another home match on Saturday for the Duffus Park men when Haddington pitch up.
Only one point behind Musselburgh and two adrift of Howe are Kirkcaldy, whose 44-17 win in Edinburgh over Murrayfield Wanderers not only keeps them in fourth spot but creates a gap of four points between themselves and fifth-placed Lasswade.
There was little in it at the break, Kirkcaldy leading 17-10, but into the second half it was mostly one-way traffic and, with six tries on the board, the visitors were very comfortable by the final whistle.
Jack Pow, Greg Wallace, Conor Wood, Dayle Turner, Chris Mann and Conor Littlejohn had the tries, Jamie Moffat slotted two conversions and a penalty and Craig Letham had one conversion.
With a still reeling Aberdeenshire next up for Kirkcaldy, the chance to make it two out of two on the road is a real possibility.
