Scotland’s rugby team and their World Cup nemesis, referee Craig Joubert, will meet again in the next RBS Six Nations.
The South African, who controversially awarded Australia a late penalty in the recent RWC quarter-final at Twickenham, won’t be the man in the middle for any of the Scots’ five games.
But he has been named as an assistant referee for the final weekend Ireland v Scotland clash in Dublin.
Ironically, Joubert’s only match in charge will be back at the scene of the crime, Twickenham, where he was last seen bolting off the pitch without shaking hands with any of the Scottish or Australian players.
The match he will be refereeing is England v Wales.
Meanwhile, England head coach Stuart Lancaster has stepped down from his job.
And Scotland’s coach, Vern Cotter, is listed as one of the early bookmaker’s favourites to replace him.
Cotter, however, signed a long-term deal before the start of the World Cup.
