Edinburgh v Gloucester: Alan Solomons believes in confident brains against brawn
ByThe Courier Reporter
Upbeat Edinburgh chief Alan Solomons believes momentum will be on his side when they square up to the tough guys of Gloucester.
The Gunners go into battle at Murrayfield knowing defeat will wreck their hopes of claiming a Heineken Cup quarter-final place.
While coach Solomons admitted the West Country men will have the edge in terms of bulk and power, he reckons his capital outfit’s confidence level will count for a lot.
He said: “We have won four consecutive games on home soil and winning engenders self-belief. However, we are under no illusions as to how hard it will be.”
Solomons has made two changes to the side that recorded a win over Connacht last weekend, with Scotland pair Ross Ford and Grant Gilchrist returning from injury.
England centre Billy Twelvetrees will lead Gloucester.
