Perthshire occupy top spot courtesy of a superior points difference after a 22-17 win at Strathmore.
Scott Alcorn, Adam Pattinson and Duncan Clow touched down for Perthshire, while Dominic O’Connor kicked the rest and the hosts responded with a try by Connor Blackmore and four penalties from the boot of Stewart Ross.
Dunfermline returned from the trip to face Gordonians with a 27-5 win to their credit. Morgan Academy squeezed home 27-25 at home to Caithness.
And it was a good day for basement side St Andrews University when they posted a 20-13 win away to Mackie Academy. Match of the day in Division 2 (Midlands) saw Harris Academy travel to unbeaten leaders Hillfoots.
It proved to be a hard-fought affair with the match finely poised at 13-7 to the hosts after a compelling first 40 minutes.
